It includes an improved 800,000 pixel RGB progressive scan CCD for excellent colour reproduction and is ideal for users who want to use the camcorder as a digital stills camera. Using Progressive Scanning, the MV38i reads and isolates information frame by frame. Sharp still images are then recorded at a speed of 25 full-frame images per second--ideal for fast-moving subjects. If the user wants to be sure to capture the best moments, the progressive scan mode makes it possible to record the moving image and then choose the desired still image(s) from the recorded tape. | | A high resolution 200,000 pixel, 2.5 inch LCD monitor mounted on the side of the camcorder gives clear, sharp images.
