What was once an idyllic place in the Vale of Scarsdale, could quite easily have just been swallowed up and lost forever, however, thanks to its official designation as a Conservation Area there is little fear of that and visitors who dare to exit the motorway today are rewarded with a pleasant leafy scene that defies all the odds. And the same can be said of this charming little cruck-framed dwelling, because as well as being the only remaining thatch in Heath, it is also the last one standing
