With this Fast Ethernet upgrade module and Gigabit upgrade modules for the NC3131, Compaq is the first to introduce an industry-standard, scaleable transition path from Ethernet to Fast Ethernet to Bonded Fast Ethernet to Gigabit. The Compaq NC3132 Fast Ethernet Module provides two additional 10/100Base-TX ports for the NC3131 Fast Ethernet NIC. The upgrade module provides a scaleable transition path from Ethernet to Fast Ethernet to Bonded Fast Ethernet. The NC3132 contributes additional redundancy and bandwidth to the server without having to change the NIC or the operating system driver.The NC3132 plugs into the NC3131 Fast Ethernet NIC without requiring any tools. Fully compliant with the 2.1 PCI specification, the NC3132 upgrade module automatically configures its I/O address and interrupt settings for easy installation.
