Designed by Arne Jacobsen The AJ Floor is designed amoung a lot of other lighting fixtures for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The standard lamp consists of a lampholder in an enamelled brass pipe the dimensions and construction of which are reminiscent of his ceiling lamp in the council chamber of Roedovre. A tilting mechanism has been installed in the pipe. The angles of the conic metal shade are made so it flush with the lampholder at the top at least that was the intention but in real
