Dwarf habit with closely curled leaves. A superb source of tasty and highly nutritious autumn winter and spring greens. Resistant to very bad winter conditions. Sow 1.8cm (¾) deep on a prepared seed bed at the end of April/early in May. Set out the plants in their final positions 60cm (2) apart each way July-early August. Harvest mid October-March. Remove any discoloured foliage and apply a fertiliser in spring to boost new shoots. Can also use the seed as a healthy sprouting seed.HE
