As suggested by its name, Grechetto has its origins in Greece, but today it is a principal white grape in much of Umbria, finding fame in the Orvieto sub-region. This example comes from hilltop vinyards inan area known as I Poggi di Baschi. A pale straw yellow wine with a delicate and freshly fragrant nose, full of aromas of pear, peach, subtle herbs and nectar. Gently fruity on the palate, with a full texture and moderate acidity. A food wine, ideal as a chilled aperitif or pair with seafood
