This 25-hectare estate is located on the slopes just outside the town of St-Emilion, and is owned by Escure family, who teamed up with the head winemaker of ChÃteau Bellegrave in the 1990s to bring their vineyards and winery into the modern era. A rounded and classy Merlot-dominated blend, offering a soft, plump-feeling palate of ripe bramble and plum, with mature pruney notes and hints of earth and pine forest on the nose. Best with hearty stews or meat pies.
