Montrose tends to be a wine requiring decades to fully mature, but the softer 2007 vintage has produced a wine which will be accessible in just a few years. Despite the earlier-drinking nature, the wine produced is outstanding. The higher blend of Cabernet Sauvignon adds power and concentration to the ripe Merlot fruit. The remainder of the blend is Cabernet Franc with just 1 of Petit Verdot to complete. There is a touch of spice and smoke with the ripe berry fruit, and the wine is full bodied
