If Mon AÃ¯eul is all about terroir, then Deux FrÃ¨res is all about the winemaking ability of brothers Thierry and Jean-Pierre Usseglio. The nose, displaying sweet new oak and reminiscent more of Mouton-Rothschild than ChÃteauneuf du Pape, offers cherry liqueur, cream and spice in abundance. The palate is broad and rich, but is conversely very light of touch, with framboise notes dominating. Fine, fully ripe tannins and lively acidity help to complete this bold and stunningly-proportioned wine.
