The Hermann family have been cultivating vines for several hundred years, although the winery as it is known today was founded in 1967. The estate consists entirely of ungrafted Riesling vines in a handful of the Mosels most prestigious vineyards. Treading the fine line between ripe settness of fruit and elegant acidity, this is a nicely balanced wine with golden honeysuckle and peach fruit interplaying with citrus rind and kerosene notes. Perfect foil for a salty ham hock.
