Raboso is effectively the red sister grape of Prosecco, extensively used for making a similarly light and fruity rosÃ© version of northern Italys signature sparkling wine, and is grown throughout the Veneto region. This example is made in Calmasino near Lake Garda. A gentle rose colour with salmon pink hues. The nose is gently floral, with hints of cherry blossom intermingling with fresh summer fruits. Gently fruity and approachably off-dry. Drink with salty canapes or fresh prawns.
