Thelemas vineyards range in altitude from 370 to 640m, making them one of the highest producers in Stellenbosch, and therefore the coolest. The Syrah is barrel aged in 85 French and 15 American oak to add texture and structure. This rich and concentrated wine displays textbook characteristics of New World Shiraz - lots of blackcurrant and brambly fruit and a superbly toasted finish. Tannins are ripe and integrated.
