The Hermann family have been involved in winemaking for several hundred years but acquired this estate in 1967. The iron rich red soil and the use of mature ungrafted Riesling vines deliver wines with exotic spicy aromas. This wine is extremely intense with fruit flavours of peaches and figs. The sweetness is matched by fine acidity and a cleansing mineral note on the long finish. Try this with fruit based deserts or blue cheese.
