Vega de la Reina Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Marqués
Vega de la Reina has its own 100ha vineyard in Valdestillas in the province of Valladolid, on the banks of the rivers Douro and Adaja. The wines of Rueda have been noted as an alternative to Sauvignon, so growing this international grape was a natural step for the region. A lively nose of grapefruit accented with hints of fresh herbs and petals. Crisply acidic, the wine is mouth-watering, refreshing and persistent on the finish. Try with simple Spanish-style fish dishes such as battered hake.
