BR Class 47 Weathered Locomotive

Over 500 of the Brush Type 4 diesel electrics were produced at Brush traction and the BR Crewe Works. Originally painted in two tone green they were later re-painted in the more workmanlike colours of BR blue as per the new Hornby example. It can be seen that the prototype on which this model has been based in need of a spell at the locomotive wash - work schedules permitting!
