6000 series aircraft grade aluminium is used on the Mount Vision so that you know it is providing strength that you can rely on. The dual monocoque frame is carefully designed to enhance stiffness. This comes through processes such as robot welding, T6 heat treating and cnc machining. The new design monocoque swingarm is, like the frame, incredibly lightweight. Disc mounts are incorporated to allow for later upgrade. | The front suspension is provided by a Manitou MARS elite. This provides 80mm of air sprung travel. MARS (Manitou Air Response System) combines air with an MCU spring to remove common disadvantages associated with air sprung forks such as stiction. Microlube grease ports also make it easy to maintain. | The Mount Vision has a splined joint between the bottom bracket and cranks which provides rigidity and strength while enhancing power transfer. XT cranks have Shimano Hollowtech technology which provide superb rigidity at an incredibly light weight. The rear derailleur is top of the range XTR. In this strength is enhanced while maintaining a light weight through a durable alloy construction. Four fluorine coated pivot pins reduce friction to add responsiveness to the shifting action. The XT front derailleur has a reinforced chain guide that enhances rigidity to improve shifting. XT shifters are supported by two ball bearing units for a precise action. They also have a short stroke action which reduces fatigue through being light and responsive. | Avid Speed Dial 7 levers allow you to tune your brakes to the trail ahead without the use of tools, through a simple twist of the Speed Dial knob. Avid Single Digit 7 brakes use Force Vector Alignment which places the brake pad closer to the boss so more energy is directed at the rim and into braking performance. | DT Swiss Onyx hubs are disc compatible to allow for potential later upgrade.
