1966 World Cup Champagne Magnum
The lucky ones were there, packed into Wembley. The others watched on television. Either way the streets were deserted on that warm July afternoon in 1966 when England won the World Cup.
Wembley may have seen its last match but you have the opportunity to buy a unique trophy of that momentous occasion. A limited edition magnum of Champagne with a specially designed label individually and personally signed by each of the ten team members (these are NOT photo copies).
The edition is limited to 1,966 magnums with each label being individually numbered.
To honour Bobby Moore and the oft forgotten maestro Sir Alf Ramsey, magnum number one will be presented to Bobby's wife and number 1966 will be presented to Lady Ramsey. In addition, a donation from each magnum will be given to The Bobby Moore Cancer Fund.
The Champagne is from the famous House of Jacquart and after speaking to London Auction Houses the indications are that the limited edition autographed magnums will become much sought after collectors' items if kept as received.
The signing of 1966 bottles took place to raise money for The Bobby Moore Cancer Fund and the bottles were to be sold through Sotherby's Auctions. As this auction never ran the bottles are being sold privatly - there are circa 200 remaining
