La Fontana Vecchia gives you a chance to taste some grapes you`ve probably never come across before - ancient varieties native to Romania - crafted into a deliciously fresh modern appetising style. The grapes in question are Feteasca Alba and Feteasca Regala (Feteasca meaning `young girl`s grape` - they also have Babeasca meaning `grandmother`s grape`!)) which make up 85 of this wine (Muscat Ottonel and Italian Riesling account for the last 15). These varieties lend a lovely lightness of touch
